Since I recently made several improvements to 3DMEditor2 I thought it was necessary to release a new package.
Here is the list of changes since last alpha :
ambient occlusion GPU code now takes overlapping parts into account (no more overbright model parts)
merging/splitting models has been fixed (and it takes care of UV coordinates now)
S3O import fixed
added support for S3O and OBJ export (3DS option does nothing yet)
mirroring/scaling now applies on sub-objects too
several minor fixes
As usual you’ll find it there:
ftp://downloads.ta3d.org/binaries/windows/dev/0.6/
NB: I used 3DMEditor2 to assemble/fix several HD models in the free data set so this is really working and usable software (auto-disassembling single-object models is very useful for animation ) even though it’s still far from being finished and several features are still work in progress/not implemented/buggy.
