Does anyone use the Infantry Kbot for either side? (Peewee, AK). Does anyone use
them for rushing attacks or scouting?
BTW, what is AK short for?

i use the peewees. but only in rare situations, since i almost always find the
flash tank to be better for the job. except on mountains, like the desert traid,
but then again… i find making rockos better for the occasion past 7 minutes…

making storms are a better choice. 10 storm vs 10 peewees. who wins? storm… PS
dont give me that mirco this mirco that bull#@$* if you are mircoing the 10
peewees he is mircoing his 10 storm too so the storms pull out better…

The AK isn’t much of a battlefield player. I find that it’s principal utility is
as a scout, but in that case you’re probably better off with Weasels. If you
really favor k-bot labs to start over veh labs, then it’s a good choice for
scouting, but don’t count on it for any sort of combat. The Pee-Wee has it all
over the AK as a scout and general harrassment unit. But I agree that the Flash
is more effective – tho about twice as expensive. I think it really depends on
your strategy. Once you’re more than a few minutes into the game, neither AK or
PW is particularly useful – they’re basically cannon-fodder, though they can be
scary radar decoys if you send a bunch of them at somebody with poor recon while
your main thrust comes elsewhere.

Oops. Also meant to add that PeeWee can be a unit of last resort – quick and
cheap if someone breaks through – but if that’s the sitch, you’re probably
toast anyway…

AK = Attack Kbot
The AK is REALLY bad, the Peewee ownz the AK in almost every way…the AK’s
lasers are very poor…however, both kbots are cannon fodder after the first
5-10 minutes.

pff. kbot means kinetic biological organic t? what is the T for again??

if you play OTA kbots are usually not as good as the vehichles. 2 peewees are
equal to 1 flash (roughly) if you have the 3 metal per second to spare its
usually better to use the flash tank. peewees only advantage is that it is about
10 m/s/s faster in speed. how could you say no to more armor in the same build
time?

The AK is very good for scouting! It is also ok for early raids against mexes!
Dont go too close however or the explosion damages the AK! I bild 2 or three in
the beginning to scout! When they are done I raid mexes!

How do you know hes microing storms? Do you read minds?

Ive killed lots of storms with a similar number of of peewees before.

usually “micro” it. (i sure wouldn’t want to “hand over” that much metal if i
didnt gang up on the enemy units. besides since im lazy i usually have the 40
storms just shoot the wrecks when the enemy units are not around to deprive him
of the loot) after all, having multiple units shoot at 1 target is a good idea
since it takes out the powerfull units fast so they cant hurt you as you kill
the weak easy units. i belive even the cavedog strats said that!

For myself, if the enemy cons were going to reach the wreckage site before mine,
I’d blow the everloving bejeezus out of the wreckage, thus depriving the enemy
of the resources. You’re gonna lose 'em either way, might as well shaft the
enemy in the meantime.

Of course, you could always whack the enemy’s con first, too.

Hmmm Willy, point out to me where in his post that says he’s in the enemy base.
I must have missed that part. Most battles occur outside of a base. He said when
the enemy units weren’t around he destroys the wreckage, that’s a bad move IMHO.

i ALWAYS reclaim in my base. i always reclaim anything within 4 screens of my
base. everything else is considered no man’s land. when im rushing most of the
wrecks is right on the tip of his base. or closer to his base than mine. i try
to reclaim what ever when its a distance away. but if i wont be able to i have
no problem having the missile units shoot it. my tactics are evil. i take all i
can of te resources, the rest i destroy.

I never use either althuogh one good use is for finding enemy base(s). You run
them around and when they look as if they self destruct you know you`ve found
the enemy base!

that your opponent’s wreckage and one begins to understand why it is so
important to hold sea-battles on one’s own turf where it is easier to reclaim

As you can see, the “experts” say that to reclaim is very important. They do
note though that you should try to hold the battle in your territory. I have
also read in someone else’s tips that you should have son con veh. tagging along
with the attacking force to reclaim as the battle is going. Most of the better
players I have played against use this technique. You will lose some cons, but
the wreckage will replace them.

We really don’t disagree.

when i play as arm once i have the kbot lab up and running i make about 2/3

Peewee`s dont lag that much. I use them with my 56k modem and their fine.
Considering if i use them, its in a raid early on and there arent many of them.

can take out a ton of AK s or Peewees without much difficulty… so their raiding
abilities are almost zero… So why would you use them?
