People have always speculated whether TA works well in Windows Vista or not. ablower has confirmed that unless you have installed the 3.1 patch for TA, your game will most likely crash. Of course, this may be different for different people. However, this discovery certainly helps to explain why many people have unsuccessfully managed to play TA with Windows Vista.
