Fred’;s Story: The Day Starcraft Met Total Annihilation
This is what I have so far:
I’;ll post excerpts here from now on for opinions and help, then when I am done, the whole thing will be hosted by #Universe
The subspace link connecting Central Consciousness to all Core units in the Empire was suddenly flooded with news from a remote planet on the Arm-Core border. A new species had been discovered that displayed an unusual characteristic: intelligence. Not unlike insectoid communities, these creatures ranged from highly intelligent organisms that were, in essence, giant brains, down to basic drones with little more than instinct and subservience to the higher forms. A single conscious entity controlled all levels of the creatures’ society; it was similar in concept to the Core’s own Central Consciousness. A rough communication matrix was developed between the commander on the planet and the local consciousness. They called themselves the Zerg.
Commander 337-Alpha received his orders from CC; he was to keep close watch on the Zerg colony and determine if they held a threat to Core interests. If they did not appear to be a threat, 337-A was to convince the Zerg to assist in the eradication of the Arm scum. Several Fink patrol routes were modified to come within radar or visual range of the alien colony. CC was curious about the strange purple slime that thrived throughout the colony and surrounding area; the organic structures appeared to flourish off of it. A group of Weasels was dispatched to collect samples for study. The results would be most interesting indeed.
Cerebrate Quax’lo observed the mechanical contraptions as they came near his colony. They appeared far more advanced than anything the Terrans or Protoss had developed. Because there were no organic parts, the Core machines were of little interest to the Hive. Quax’lo directed the zerglings to unburrow and destroy the wheeled vehicles that approached the creep. Logic dictated that if it could not help the Hive, it had to be destroyed. The Overmind agreed with the Cerebrate’s assessment; the Core race was of no use to the Hive.
“This is Weasel Alpha-Charlie Eight, we are approaching the substance; stand by for visual feed in three, two, one, begin transmission.” Commander 337-A turned his thought processes to the new feed. The purple slime had covered all features of the landscape and was slowly expanding outwards. The modified Weasel approached cautiously with its collection plate extended.
The feed went dead. 337-A changed his video to the feed from the group’s leader. Some kind of creature, apparently a type of Zerg, had shredded apart several of the Weasels. Almost as large as their prey, the attackers proved to be more than a match for the Weasel squad.
Where the hell did they come from? 337-A was stunned. The creatures had appeared out of nowhere in a large mass and had ripped through the ill armored scouts with no difficulty. What little return fire the Core had managed did little more than scorch the exoskeleton to the Zerg. No orders were needed from CC to tell 337-A what to do next. This meant war.
Quax’lo directed the mutation of several new hatcheries in preparation for the inevitable attack by the automatons. Zerglings were being massed to shred the armies of the Core. In light of the success against the Core’s scouts, Quax’lo was confident of victory.
An Instigator rolled out of the vehicle plant and joined it’s brethren near the base’s North entrance. Though the Weasels were slaughtered by the Zerg, 337-A didn’t believe the creatures could take a large force of Instigators and Raiders. A dozen Slashers had already set out to find strategic positions around the Zerg colony from which to assist the tank assault.
The first squad of tanks began to move out; they were to assault the Zerg from the west. Soon afterwards, the second squad began to charge out of the base. A short distance from the Core base, the ground exploded upwards.
“This is Instigator Alpha-Lima-Six, we are under assault.”
“Hold them off, AL-6; do not let them reach the base.”
“There are too many!”
Squad Two’s frequency was filled with battle orders and screams. They slowly faded away one by one as the large Zerg force quickly advanced to the base. Heavy casualties were awarded to the Zerg from the LLTs guarding the base, but the creatures managed to get inside in large enough numbers to overwhelm the AK guards.
The commander found himself under attack from a dozen of the beasts. Each of his lasers killed or maimed a target, but more kept coming. The AKs were taking picky shots for fear of hitting the commander.
As his armor plating was gouged and chiseled away by the claws of the assaulting force, 337-A brought his Disintegrator gun to bear on the densest mass of Zerg and fired. A dozen or more creatures were instantly vaporized along with an unlucky AK who had been too close and caught part of the D-gun roll. Oh well, AKs were cheap anyway. Switching between his laser and D-gun, 337-A was able to force the Zerg out of the Core base. Casualties were massive on both sides and much of the energy production and unit plants in the base were destroyed. Organizing his surviving Con-bots, repairs commenced.
Quax’lo was bewildered by the death of his Zergling horde. The presence of the Commander’s quantum disintegration weapon was unexpected. This would require further study. He was not worried; the colony was expanding at an excellent rate and he could easily amass a new army. The sound of machinery close at hand pumped adrenaline into the Cerebrate’s cells; none of his minions had detected the presence of any machines leaving the Core base other than those destroyed at the beginning of his assault.
A missile roared across the colony and exploded upon impacting a Zergling. Guts flew everywhere. A wave of missiles flew from what seemed like everywhere, Quax’lo’s brood was being destroyed by an unseen enemy. Zerglings rushed outwards from the hatcheries and were able to find the missile trucks, but Core tanks stood between the Zerg and the trucks. Lasers flashed and plasma flew from the tanks as the Zerglings charged uphill to meet them. Many were killed before reaching the squad of vehicles. The ensuing battle could be described as little more than a slaughter of Zerglings as they fought their way to meet the tanks.
The Core progressed onto the creep, which slowed the vehicles down slightly. Victory seemed assured as eggs and larva were destroyed alongside the Zerglings. A warning went off in several of the minds in the tanks; their armor was being turned to liquid by some strange acidic substance. Behind the tanks Quax’lo had unleashed his first crop of Hydralisks.
A group of missiles turned the lead Hydralisk into a mass of organic slag. The range of the Hydralisks proved superior to the tanks and was only slightly less than that of the missile trucks. While the tanks were slowly penetrated by the acid, the missile trucks concentrated their fire on the Hydralisks, ignoring the Zerglings present until it was too late.
这个是以小说的形式写的啊,和游戏的设定没有一点关系,胜负完全按作者意愿。
如果加上 Suddenly the Zerg can’;t create any more units, maxium units reached, it only have 200/200. The core can build more, as far as TA demo be conerned (5000/5000). Lao K has 30000hp… Hive has 1500hp…
